Yes, I saw your review, so that was one thing that intrigued me -- I've found you do tend to have good judgment IMO! I listened to the first part up to about Mexicali, when my streaming speed went into its old-lady-learning-to-drive-a-clutch phase. Really nice show, with a lot of clear, creative stuff from Phil, which I always like. Now I've buffered some later tunes and will jump around a bit if I can't stream without it going chitty-chitty-bang-bang! Of course I'm particularly curious to hear that jam.

thanks! i'd like to think my judgement is sound, a good amount of the time anyway. my reviews on the other hand, yeesh, sometimes i think i was wasted outta my mind when i wrote some of that hyperbolic crap!

well, i hope your internet gets out of old lady mode so you can check out the jam segment, it's a solid show all around, but thats defiantly the part i always come back too ;)

It's true that "gotta fuckin' love '73 baybee!" is not, perhaps, the best line anyone has ever written :-) But I get your point! And hey, at least you write them. I've hardly written any reviews at all, largely cuz I figure no one needs Hyperbolic Review Number 17 from me when it's some show everyone else has probably heard anyway. I pay attention to them from other folks, though.

BTW the trick to Third World archives streaming is to keep two or three windows open and buffer several at once. In case anyone is in, say, Zambia (which I believe is one of maybe two or three countries with slower internet than Nepal) and needs to know :-)

Having followed the thread the other day, guess I'm going to jump on a bit of this ride today after finishing a treat with the Pirate's World 1970 show. Right in Dark Star -- beautiful! I have loved this 73 classic for all it's worth over the years. Might just have one more run left in it's heart of hearts.

Thanks for the interesting tip on streaming and buffering a couple windows. Might try that if needed sometime. Not in 3rd world, but in a very rural area where sometimes broadband isn't what it would be closer to the city
